There are 2 outstanding songs I heard in the last year that made a deep impression on me ..
1) Pachelbel's Canon in D Major
2) Pookal Pookum Tharunam from the movie 'Madrasapattinam'
In both the songs, the composers have transcended themselves to create something extraordinary.
Pachelbel's Canon is an incredibly beautiful song, and my absolute favourite when I'm doing any reflective writing. ( Do checkout the strings version of this song too)
It has a very unique healing vibration - joy and sadness intertwined beautifully.
Of all the recordings I have posted here, this is the one I am most happy with. I have taken me a long time and am just beginning to crack the code to get a better sound - The right reverb, the right parametric equalizer setting, the right lid position, the right decay time, and numerous other factors..
