Random Thoughts

1) If what I understand of the Google glass project is correct, I think it should be legally banned across the world.

2) Of all the things I've experimented with in the last 10 years, one of the most eye-opening ones has been learning to juggle. It reminds me of  how little of our abilities we actually put to use. Contrary to popular perception, the key skill in juggling does not lie in catching the ball - it actually is in throwing the ball in a consistent manner.. I learnt juggling from this amusing book called ' How to be a goofy juggler', which I picked up on one of my travels ..I guess the goofy part will come in handy on the days when the juggling part isn't working well  ;)

3) Of late, I've become obsessed with acquiring a new set of skills. Life skills that ought to be part of every school curriculum but which aren't. With some insights I've been gaining into the inner workings of the universe, and the counter-intuitive way it functions in certain (actually many  :) contexts, I've come yet again to a profoundly simple conclusion  - 'The logical approach to doing things is often the opposite of the effective approach to doing things.' ;) Or put differently, sometimes, it is logical to trust your intuition :)

4) The Native Instruments FM8 leaves me impressed. Kudos to the designers!

You posts always put a smile on the face :-) Glad such 'good' people still exist in the world.

Yes, of late, I've also been feeling that instinct and intuition are the filtrate of the complex logical process that we usually follow. While for some it is a gift, some acquire this finally after years of practicing logical processes. I've not read the book yet, but this immediately reminds me of "Blink".

Anonymous, I'm not sure why my posts place me in the 'good people' category..:) Thanks !:-)

Ya, I think intuition is in some sense 'approximate' logic, and that is what makes it powerful. It gets to the essence of a matter without worrying about irrelevant minor details.
