My version would be - Going from distress to de-stress demands character.:> But I'd agree that it seems like it demands a change.Thats where the character comes in :>

In principle you are right; just that when they are treated simply as words, saying ' Going from distress to de-stress demands character' would imply an addional character is needed to get from one word to the other.

Yes, kinda awkward, not the most natural of puns.

Greatly thought provoking.
And here's my version ;)
Going from distress to de-stress demands a character ready for 'change' ... !

Shamit, that was brilliant!

I tried hard to understand what new difference Shamit tried to make, I couldn't.... I'm inquisitive..

Anonymous ,
In my original line, 'character' was a pun on the alphabetical letter, and the nature of a person.

Whereas in Shamit's, it was on the alphabetical letter, and the person himself/herself!

Maybe I'm stating the obvious, and you were looking for something more..Anyway, I thought his version was more elegantly phrased:-)

Ok Karthik :) Thanks :) OK, I guess I am not able to appreciate the subtle different between 'nature of a person' and 'person' ...
But I liked Srini's comment .. :)

I hope you don't mind that I am commenting anonymously..

Anonymous,
its nothing too subtle or involved ! I can't clarify the difference very well in writing!

Ya, I too liked Srini's comment:-) But I think it should be slightly modified to 'It is I who needs to change'..

Oh I don't mind you commenting anonymously at all :-) Thanks for reading this blog !:-)
