Pun Intended !

I had been climbing hills the last 2 days. My feet and my shoes didn't seem to have enjoyed it. A couple of days' rest restored the calm in my feet, but my shoes didn't seem to have taken the hint. I put on my slippers, and went over to the neighbourhood cobbler, as passionate a professional as you would ever find, and handed one of my shoes over to him. He gazed at it for a while, returned it to me with a sad look on his face, and said "May his sole rest in peace'!
