Ramlings - II

Back with the ramblings just as i had promised (and you had feared:).Feels great all over again! Just started working on a new composition after quite some time i.e. about four months. About the worst thing that can happen to a composer is to get a feeling that he's lost his creativity; and I get that feeling every now and then. Self-doubt creeps in - Will I ever again hit the right keys ? Will they sound cliched? ....

And happily so far, I've been able to keep going. Ok here's a list of my compositions so far(20yrs down the line,i'd be keen to know when i composed what):-

1)A new beginning : - my first composition:) sometime in 2000, i think
2)A walk in the clouds
3)Running in circles
4)Medley
5)A ray of hope -
6)Celebration
7)Reflections by the seashore
8) Three songs for which I want lyrics to be written. hunting for a lyricist:)

The following were composed during the iisc days - truly days of wonder!

9) Breaking Free parts 1,2,3. part 3 in progress
10)Living in harmony
11) Those were the days, and its sequel, Days of wonder
12) The soaring spirit
13) In the heavens
14) The video game song:)

2-3 more, but haven't given them names yet. Actually some of the names above are tentative too:)

I'm working on Breaking free- part3. The last one (The soaring spirit) was done sometime in Aug 2006.(That's actually just before i turned 25. ). Posts coming up on the vit days, and rhythmica diaries.
