Stuff I've Learnt -II

Disclaimer: In some sense, I had an extended identity crisis. And suddenly things seemed very simple and natural. Along the way, I learnt (and am learning) some really good stuff. These things work for me. The way I’ve listed them, it might sound like I’m ‘preaching’ this to someone else; please view this as more of a self-talk to myself.

1)Never yell in an argument. It will not make your argument seem more convincing.
2)Strive to be gentle, kind and accommodating to the extent possible.
3)When others speak of their accomplishments, never speak of your own.
4)Don't interrupt others when they are speaking as far as possible.
5)Never claim that you find something easy to do. It might discourage someone who is just starting out.
6)If you follow the 5 things listed above, far too many people will assume that you are very ordinary and incompetent. Its their problem.
7)Treat women you percieve to be 'ordinary' exactly the same way you would treat the ones you percieve to be beautiful.
8)Never ever give up on your dreams.
9)Treat absolutely everyone with respect. A well-known consulted was once employed by an organization to improve their processes. A large number of people had assembled in the room. He smiled, wrote 'Treat everyone with respect' on the board, and left the room.
10)Be extremely cautious about hating something/someone. Most likely, you have just not learnt to appreciate that/them.

dude, that is really awesome!!!

I'm currently learning 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 8) 9) and 10). I believe I do respect 7) already. Looks like I have a long way to go.

Or maybe it is a life long process of self evaluation and correction.
