Right to Write

Ok, this was meant to sound more like 'Is this the right thing to do ?' and not 'right to freedom of expression'.The question mark was left out to maintain the reader's interest(hope is a good thing ) .When i was a ' novice blog -reader ' (i continue to be one:), I used to wonder if people would care to read others' blogs on a regular basis.I'm sure there must be loads of blog-writers who don't get comments or even feedback. So what's it that kees them going?

The joy of writing ? Probably. In my case I hope my writing skills improve , if not the reader's tolerance level ! If i might say so , reading blogs allows us to lead other lives on a daily basis. And often the joy of discovering that there are others who think just like us on certain issues.I Often end up exclaiming 'that's exactly what I feel about it myself !'

I recall reading somewhere that diary-writing is a journey of self discovery. While i'm beginning to believe that it's an accurate observation, what I've truly discovered is that I'm a hopelessly irregular diary-writer.Maybe, I would make a more regular blog-writer.I think odds are I will.

hey, you are right about the comments. It isn't always that you get comments. But I guess different ppl have different reasons for writing blogs. For me, blogging has been an instrument for changing myself (hence the title). How much it helps me woud be a function of how much I express myself, not a function of the comments :-)
