It is only recently that I first heard Munbe Vaa, a lovely song composed by AR Rahman. As usual, my mind ignored the lyrics, but I found the song hauntingly beautiful .. I thought it'll be fun to try it out on my synth..This is a soft piano version. I was wondering whether or not to add a strings track to back the melody, but decided against it. Do let me know if you like it..
It does get a little faster towards the end .. I don't have the patience to re-record it now .. :-) An interesting tidbit about the song - Most parts in the song feature just 4 chords played over and over - B#m, F#, G#, and Fm. The song is unusually expressive for such a simple chord progression ! Kudos to Rahman !
Sadly, the audio player widget is buggy, and doesn't always work.. If you would like to listen to the piece, you can alternatively find it here
